Nickelodeon has acquired the licensing and merchandising rights for popular childrens animation Shaun the Sheep in India. The firm has signed the rights from the international creator Aardman Animations. Along with this acquiring of rights the firm has also decided to deliver a wide range of toys with its partnered Distributors.

The new range of toys includes  Shaun the Sheep branded plush toys in various sizes those will be available within the store s under the brand name of Hamleys and Landmark. Apart from these Nickelodeon India plans to launch various kinds of plush key chains, further toys, a back-to school range, novelties for building the popularity of the Brand.

Sandeep Dahiya, SVP and business head, Consumer Products, Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd, said: Shaun the Sheep as a show has connected extremely well with the audiences and we are confident that it will engage the audiences s much, outside television as well.
