Russell Peters, Sean Astin hop on ‘Ribbit’

Actor Sean Astin and comedian Russell Peters have boarded Malaysian 3D animated feature Ribbit as voice casts. The film is co-produced by Malaysia’s KRU Studios and India's Crest Animation with partial finance from the Malaysian government's Multimedia Development Corporation. The movie was directed and written by Chuck Powers "Ribbit" is the story of an Amazon journey undertaken by a frog that hates hopping and has a strong aversion to water. The film was recorded in Los Angeles with animation production taking place in Malaysia and India and development and post-production entirely in Malaysia. The bulk of the rendering was done in Hong Kong. Repped internationally by KRU’s sales & distribution arm United Studios, the film has been sold to more than 80 territories, including the UK, Germany, Japan,Australia, Brazil and China.
