Cartoon animation Tawasel got the prestigious award. Best Animated Series of 2018 at the Cairo International Animation Forum 2019.
Participating countries included the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Madagascar, France, Croatia, Russia, Germany and Austria.

According to Cann Studio, which produced the cartoon series, ‘Tawasel’ has won from among more than 121 animated cartoons from more than twenty countries, and gained the Best Animated Series award and the Best Script Award.
According to the statement by organisers, Tawasel is the only series to win more than one award at the forum, and the series is an Omani animated cartoon and was shown for two seasons during Ramadan on Oman TV.
