WIA is scheduled to host Director’s club, an event featuring a panel and screenings, at The Cinefamily on March 9th 2014. The event is sponsored by Six Point Harness and Mondo Media. The panel will take place on Sunday, March 9 at 7 p.m. Los Angeles, and it will be moderated by Conrad Vernon (Shrek), a director, storyboard artist, writer and voice actor. Prestigious panelists include Lauren Faust (My Little Pony, The Power puff Girls, Wander over Yonder), Emily Hubley (The Toe Tactic, Pigeon Within), Yvette Kaplan (Zack & Quack, King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead), Lauren Montgomery (Wonder Woman, Green Lantern: First Flight), Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe, Adventure Time) and Lauren MacMullan (Academy Award-nominated Get a Horse, The Simpsons).After the panel, co-presenter Animation Breakdown will screen a selection of old and new female directed animated shorts.

- Pencil Booklings (1978): Kathy Rose’s seminal scribbles brought to life
- Lord I: The Records Keeper (2013): the 10-years-in-the-making short by Lori D.
- Set, Set, Spike! (2002): Emily Hubley’s collage of memory, poetry and volleyball
- Like A Lantern (2013): Lilli Carre’s haunting, wistful cut-outs
- Two Ghosts (2014): new World Premiere by Amy Ketchum
- Northern Ice, Golden Sun (2002): Faith Hubley’s Inuit inspired final film,
- and etc.
