9. Hop -- A bit of a stretch for this list, since it mixed animation with huge doses of live action but deserve to be in the race.
8. Cars 2 -- A solidly made movie, but not as affecting as Pixar movies generally are.
7. Rango -- Johnny Depp and Gore Verbinski team up for an animated movie that is not necessarily for kids but is beautifully rendered.
6. Rio --A sweetie and astonishingly colourful – a trip of delight.
5. Arthur Christmas – A fun ride.
4. Winnie the Pooh -- Sometimes simple is better. The return to form for Disneys beloved fluff-stuffed bear.
3. Puss in Boots -- DreamWorks sequel, which got a huge applause and flaws, but managed to stand ahead in the race.
2. Kung Fu Panda 2 --

1. The Adventures of Tintin -- Steven Spielberg's nonstop adventure helped set us free from the monotonous year for animated films by leading the race.
